BBH May E-News 2024: Community Corner, Hyde Park Construction Update and More!
An update from BBH
An update from BBH
From BBH's Executive Director, Susan Gittelman
We invite you to read about our updates on our ongoing efforts to provide affordable housing in the latest edition of the B’nai B’rith Housing newsletter. From progress reports to resident spotlights and important announcements, we aim to keep you informed about our work and its impact on the community. Thank you for your continued support as we strive to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

BBH Community Corner

Take a look at our Community Corner, where we highlight some of the exciting events and activities that took place this month.
At Covenant House, residents came together to celebrate Passover, sharing traditions and creating meaningful memories. Meanwhile, Parkway 1208 residents enjoyed a night of laughter and amazement with a comedy magic show by Magic By George. Over at Parkway 1208 and The Machon, residents embarked on an aquatic adventure at the Boston Aquarium, exploring the wonders of marine life.
At the Coolidge, singer Tony Funches, former Lead Singer of The Platters mesmerized residents with engaging concerts in each building. Residents claimed it was the best event ever held at
The Coolidge!
These events provided opportunities for residents to connect, engage, and enjoy new experiences together, fostering a sense of community and belonging. We look forward to more enriching activities in the months to come!
We want to express our gratitude to our residents, partners, and supporters for their continued dedication and commitment to our mission. Together, we are making a positive impact on the lives of seniors and families in need, providing them with safe, affordable housing and the support they deserve. We look forward to continuing this journey with you and invite you to stay connected with us for future updates, events, and opportunities to get involved. Thank you for your ongoing support and for being a part of the BBH community!

B&T Op-Ed: Municipalities Will Not Lead on Housing

An image of River St. Project
Much like what is happening in other blue and red states, we should support the commonwealth reclaiming its powers to enable the housing that we so desperately need. Check out Susan’s latest Op-Ed in Banker & Tradesman here!

River Street Construction Update

We’ve made significant progress this month at the 1201 River Street development in Hyde Park, in terms of completing excavation tasks like rock and soil removal. Now that we are at the right grade, we are making ready to facilitate the installation of soil support for the foundation of our new building.

In Their Own Words…

Being able to stay in my hometown, near friends and family was great. And now I have a whole new community at The Coolidge to socialize with, too. It is wonderful!
