Construction Complete at Logan Square, with Residents Moved in
Construction was completed on the Logan Square Residences late last year capped off by our December ribboncutting celebration with community partners. We are so proud to open this transit-oriented four-story building in the heart of Hyde Park and to become part of this wonderful community.
The Logan Square Residences includes homes for 63 senior households. The building includes community amenities like a gym, library, community room, and an outdoor courtyard with a bocce court. All of our residents have moved in and they are excited to take advantage of what the building and the community have to offer.
The building is completely electric and designed to meet Zero Emission Buildings requirements which is an exciting step forward in our sustainability and performance planning.

How Removing Parking Mandates Can Increase Access to Housing
In her recent op-ed for Banker & Tradesman, Susan Gittelman, Executive Director of B’nai B’rith Housing, explains how reducing or eliminating parking mandates can lower development costs.
“One parking space can add more than $200 to monthly rent. Bring down the cost of production and more dollars go to housing and fewer to parking.”
BBH Staff & Board Updates
B’nai B’rith Housing is pleased to welcome Claudius Zorokong to our Board of Directors. Claudius serves as a Senior Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Banking at Rockland Trust with prior experience at Freddie Mac, Bank of America, and CoStar Group. Claudius notes, “For nearly a decade, I’ve admired the incredible work B’nai B’rith does to provide high-quality, equitable housing centered on community for those most in need. It’s an honor to now serve on the Board.”
Aom Sudarat Azzalina, BBH Asset Manager, attended the NeighborWorks Training Institute Asset Management workshops in Chicago. She came back brimming with new ideas to continue to strengthen our properties and position them well for the future.
Community Corner
Across our communities, residents are connecting and celebrating:
- Logan Square residents in Hyde Park celebrated Mardi Gras with a festive luncheon & bingo!
- At Parkway 1208 in West Roxbury, Valentine’s Day was marked with a breakfast featuring songs, flowers, and delicious pastries baked by one of our own residents!
- Residents at The Machon in Swampscott got creative as part of a hands-on art session led by The Traveling Art Party, designing unique resin pieces.
- Covenant House residents in Brighton have enjoyed a variety of field trips recently, including excursions to Taza Chocolate Factory and the Peabody Essex Museum!
- Residents from Coolidge 1 & 2 in Sudbury enjoyed fun Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day celebrations!
2026 has gotten off to a busy start, with welcoming new residents, creating new activities, and moving our development work forward. And we’re anticipating even more exciting progress in the months to come – stay tuned!
