As Boston continues to grow, so does the need for affordable housing. Longtime inhabitants of many neighborhoods in the city are feeling the impact of gentrification as more people are displaced and housing costs rise with demand.

As part of WCVB’s yearlong Project CommUNITY public service effort examining the impact of the high cost of living in Boston, CityLine host Karen Holmes Ward, explores how local grassroots organizations City Life/Vida Urbana, Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation and Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation are empowering tenants to fight for their rights and reclaim their neighborhoods.
