Phase 2 of The Coolidge at Sudbury includes 56 apartment units in an accessible building with an elevator, as well as garage and surface parking. Phase 2 is located at 187 Boston Post Road, next to Phase 1. The rental apartments are one bedroom units and are approximately 675 – 700 square feet. As is the case with Phase 1, the new building includes common space and amenities, including a meeting room, library, and fitness center, and offices for a property manager and a resident service coordinator. BBH will continue to work closely with area senior service agencies to promote wellness, health and educational programs for the building. In keeping with BBH’s service-enriched housing model, residents of Phase 2 has access to an on-site Resident Service Coordinator.

Community Need: Prior to Phase 1 of The Coolidge at Sudbury, senior housing, particularly affordable senior housing, was difficult to find in and around Sudbury. Over 25% of Sudbury households have at least one member who is over 60 years old. Notably, over one quarter of these households are individuals living alone. Of Lincoln‐Sudbury seniors, 30% of households over 65 years old earn less than $50,000 per year (2000 U.S. Census, localized data set). The town of Sudbury will receive annual real estate taxes from The Coolidge at Sudbury.
